Dear Susan and John I was talking to Mom on Thursday night, offering apologies and excuses for not coming home this long weekend. Mom and I were discussing Sarah's upcoming debut at the Austrian ball here in Montreal, and Mom is leaving Dad at home, and suddenly your Mom came to mind. I almost told Mom to bring Mrs Kyle, and I even asked Mom how she was making out. Mom thought that it was still status quo. After a 40 minute chat, I hung up, walked downstairs and when the phone rang again, it was Mom telling me that Mrs Kyle had passed. I guess Gerald talked to Dad. Your mom is never far from my thoughts, the two pictures of Aylmer that she gave me hang downstairs where I can see them when I head into the basement. She was kind and good to me, as you know Susan, always trying to help me achieve what she thought I should and what she thought I could. I will always be grateful for her love, I don't know how else to explain it. Your mom was an example in that she always did what she thought was right, to me she worked hard to be the best that she could be. I know that she overcame the difficulties that life put in before her in the best way that she could. I will miss her, as I miss you all, but I know that she will continue to live on in my memory as a very kind gracious lady who had the courage to do what was right despite the risks of being told that it was not her business. I hope that the many good memories you have of your mom comfort you at this time, and that your friends close by you help ease this pain. I send you hugs and what comfort this letter may bring you, may God bless you and welcome your mom into his arms. Talk to you soon, Love Elaine

Susan and Family My heart and my prayers are with you at this time of your mothers final journey on this earth. Be strong in the knowledge that her soul and spirit will travel for many years to come in the hearts and minds of all the people she touched in her life. When you are all gathered for the next holiday or just a few sitting around the kitchen table sippin' tea, let the happy memories comfort you and bring peace in the knowledge that Your Mother and Grandmother and your Friend are no longer suffering. I know I am far a way to be of much help at this time, but if you need a old friend to talk to I am only a phone call away. God bless you all. LouAnn

Dear Jim, Susan, Gerald and family,
I will always remember Margaret with love and a chuckle. I enjoyed sitting with her and listening to her childhood stories and travel adventures. I remember the sparkle in her eyes when she was a bit peeved and then, her smile, her beautiful smile. I remember so many of her expressions when I look at you Susan. With love, Ida
