Please accept our condolences in the loss of your father Jim. Vince was just speaking with him when he stored his boat at Long Point in Oct. We have been fishing neighbours for the last 18 seasons there and we had many perch fish fries with your Mom doing the cooking. It is very difficult to loose someone so sudden. We are in Florida and not able to attend. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this sad time. Vince and Nancy Martinello

To the Family, Jim was a great guy to work with back in the St. Thomas days. We had a lot of fun and Jim was always willing to give a helping hand. Jim was always ready to share a glass of his home-made wine and we always enjoyed talking about his wood working projects. Paul

As a family, we are so sad to lose a next door neighbour of almost thirty-four years. We have such fond memories of both Jim and Betty who were known to our kids as Uncle Jim and Mrs. Ternyik. As we would spend time in our own back yard, we would listen to Jim's music softly and gently playing in his back yard. It was always somewhat comforting. We appreciated all the times that we knew we could borrow or lend things back and forth. We laughed together this past year when Jim somehow locked himself out of his house and sheepishly came over to ask our son Johnathan, by far the thinner of the three men, if he could crawl through a small window and open the door from inside. Johnathan was pleased to do this for Jim, as Jim was always so kind to, on so many occasions, give Johnathan a tour of all his gardens. They shared a love and appreciation for gardening. We were blessed to have the Ternyiks as our neighbours and Jim will certainly be missed as has Betty. We will miss seeing Jim on his riding lawnmower and the friendly waves that so many of us shared with him from time to time. Our lives are richer because of our neighbours to the south, and we will cherish these memories and good times for ever. With our love and prayers to Brenda, Nancy and families! Kirk, June, Kathleen, Krista and Johnathan Elley

I'm so sorry for your loss. I too have many memories of a childhood well spent at the Ternyik home. So many hours in your pool... and when we were really lucky... at Long Point. Picking dandelions... raking leaves. I often think of your Dad when I see dandelions or when I make breakfast sausages on the BBQ. My sincere condolences on the loss of your Mom and now your Dad. I'll be praying for you. Angela

My deepest sympathies to the family on the passing of your father. I have many fond memories of our neighbours, the Ternyik's. We shared a lot of laughs together and some misadventures. Jim and Betty were good neighbours to have and we were privileged to know them. My prayers and thoughts are with you, especially Bud, Brenda and Nancy. I pray that God comfort you at this time in your life.
