It is with great sadness of heart to hear the news of Bert's passing, I was privileged to meet Bert on my very first trip to the annual "Whats about You" fishing camp in 2003. What a wonderful legacy Bert has left for his family and friend's, my brief few days in his presence touched my heart, we shared a limerick or two at shore lunch and I was impressed with a man with a great sense of humour and a zest for life. He will certainly be missed by me and I'm sure the other members of "Whats about You" fishing club. You are in my thoughts and prayers during these coming days of bereavement as you grieve the loss of Bert.

It was indeed an honour to have been asked to participate at the memorial service in the reading of a poem entitled "A Guide's Day" and written by Bert himself. Bert was certainly an inspiration to each and every member of Wha's About You Club, but with he and my dad both being original founding members and long time friends, it made it very special. I am quite sure I speak for all the members, past and present, in saying that the WAYtrip destination of choice, O-Pee-Chee fishing camp and lodge, ultimately became tradition because of Bert King. His presence always made the annual fishing trip that much more enjoyable for all and he will be dearly missed, but never forgotten. To the King family, my heart felt condolences...to "weeBERT", fish-on buddy! Sincerely, Dave Hunt
