Blaszczak: Surrounded by his family at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Tuesday July 6, 2010. Josef Blaszczak of St. Thomas in his 88th year. Beloved husband of the late Frieda (Kusack) Blaszczak (2010). Dear father of John Blaszczak and wife Marilyn of St. Thomas, Rosemary Bartlett and husband Rodney of Dutton, Barbara Ostrander and husband Norman of Aylmer and Lillian Herbert and husband Marty of Pt. Stanley. Loving grandfather of Stephanie Gordon(Craig), Adam Blaszczak, Jason Canning, (Richelle), Jeff Bartlett(Nicky), Greg Bartlett(Donna), Joe Ostrander, Tracy Ostrander, Chris Herbert, Connie Herbert and 14 great grandchildren. Brother of Rosemary and Kathy in Poland and brother-in-law of Hanna Lohr of Germany. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters Mary and Stanislawa and brothers Ignats, Frank, Walter and John. Born in Konta Poland on August 10, 1922, son of the late John and Maria Blaszczak. Joe came to Canada in 1948 and was a farmer. He was a member of St .John's Lutheran Church and the Polish Unity Club. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 pm where the funeral service will be held on Friday July 9, 2010 at 11:00 am . Interment, Aylmer Cemetery. Rev John Goldsworthy, officiating.
