Gavey, Lorine: at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Wednesday July 21, 2010. Lorine Gavey (nee Stapleton) of Aylmer in her 86th year. Beloved wife of the late George Gavey (2005). Dear mother of Marlene Bogart and husband Brian of Acton, Gary Gavey and his wife Martha of R.R.# 6, Aylmer, Gayle Fowler of Aylmer, Ralph Gavey of St.Thomas, Anne Robinson of Aylmer, Wayne Gavey and his wife Yvonne of Aylmer and the late Rick Gavey (2006). Loved by 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Sister of Rita Teahen and predeceased by a brother Lloyd Stapleton. Born in St. Mary's Ontario on January 18, 1925 daughter of the late James and Sarah (Bettridge) Stapleton. Lorine was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Br.# 81, Aylmer and past president of the Ladies Auxilliary, She had been a member of the Terrace Lodge Auxilliary , the Aylmer Fair Board and a recipient of Aylmer Senior Citizen of the Year Award. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Friday 2-4 and 7-9pm where the funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 24, 2010 at 11:00am. Interment, St. Patricks Cemetery, St.Marys. Rev Michael Wellwood, Legion Padre officiating. Members of the Aylmer Legion, Br # 81 will conduct a memorial service 7:00pm Friday.
