Obituary of Evelyn Holditch

Holditch, Evelyn Nina passed away peacefully at Terrace Lodge, Aylmer on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 in her 100th year. Beloved wife of the late Douane Holditch(2006). Dear mother of Muriel Jones of Florida, Don Holditch(Carrol) of R.R.#2, Aylmer and foster mother of Frank Wallis(Barb) of St. Thomas. Also survived by a son-in-law Bill Wye(Muriel) and a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her daughter Margaret Ann Wye(2002), granddaughter Valerie, brothers Marvin, Howard, Harold and Alfred Rodgers, sisters Leila Smith, Inez Jones, Edna Carter and Verna Gaudin.  Born in Norfolk County on June 23, 1918, daughter of the late Isaac and Eva May (Howick) Rodgers. She was a member of the Aylmer Baptist Church. Evelyn enjoyed life on the farm.  She put great care into her gardening and was an excellent cook.  Douane and Evelyn enjoyed many winters in Florida.  Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Monday, June 18, 2018 at 11:00 am. Interment, Aylmer Cemetery.
