Obituary of Johann Loewen

Loewen, Johann of Aylmer passed away at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Friday, January 24, 2019 in his 79th year. Beloved husband of Elizabeth (Fehr) Loewen. Dear father of Isaac Loewen(Tina), Rick Loewen(Tina), John Loewen(Kim), Elizabeth Loewen Does, Annie Schmitt(Neil), Maria Langille(Christopher), Judy Ternipolski(Chris) and Jake Loewen(Lena). Brother to Diedrich(Anna), Anna Knelson(Bill), Abe Loewen(Anna) and Henry Loewen(Margaret). He will be missed by twenty-four grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Born in Chihuahua, Mexico on August 17, 1940, son of the late Diedrich and Judith (Klassen) Loewen. John was an avid fisherman and loved his family. He was a volunteer at MCS and enjoyed bowling at Cy’s Lanes. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the Reinland Fellowship Mennonite Church on Monday, January 28, 2019 at 2:00 pm.
