Very sad to hear of Larry’s passing. I echo the well written sentiments of Cheryl Davis. The memorial video posted on this site was a touching tribute to Larry (And to all the same SK apparel I had as well:)). My wife and I worked with Larry at Safety-Kleen, we always had a good chat and laugh when he was in Breslau. Miss that laugh. He was a pleasure to be around. Our sincere condolences.

I worked with Larry at Safety-Kleen. He would come in the office to send his papers to the branch and that included a nice long conversation with him. One of the sweetest persons I know, such a kind hearted man. He would sneak quietly up to the office door, poke his head around the door and yell "BOO". Such a funny man. In our many talks he would gleam as he talked about his family, often referring to Mary as his loving bride. He was a proud dad and grandpa and always had a story for me about his kids and grandkids. I would always joke that I was going to crash his fish fry one day. It was a very sad day when SK decided he didn't need to come to Breslau anymore to unload as that meant the end of "doorway visits". I certainly miss our chats. Larry will highly be remember as a piece of sunshine from my days at SK. My deepest condolences to the family. He will be missed dearly by many. May you find comfort in the many cherished memories you shared with him and knowing Larry there are plenty and lots that will make you laugh. Rest in Peace Larry.

Dear Mary and family
we are so sad to hear of the passing of such a wonderful guy. Larry was one of the BEST employees we worked with at Home
Hardware. The tool wall was his pride and joy and always was in good order
He loved to tease especially the late Bernice Sproul .Larry lit up any room he entered. He was so proud of his ankle biters as he lovingly referred to your kids .He was a pleasure to be around.

I am very sorry to hear of Larry's passing. One of the earliest memories I have of Larry occurred at the Lyons School. I was 6 yrs old and there was a patch of ice that all the kids were sliding down, piling into each other at the end of the patch. I went sliding down near the beginning of a group and Larry hurried came sliding down to push me out of the way, so I wouldn't get piled onto and hurt. Paul, you and Larry were like brothers to me. Larry with his twinkle in his eye and his infectious laugh will be truly missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of you.

My condolences to Mary and the family. Larry and I worked together at Elgin Co-op in Straffordville in the 1980's. His smile, his laugh and his great attitude are the things that I always admired. Larry accomplished a lot there and was highly respected by the farming and local community. Larry could pull off a prank better than anyone, and we had a lot of fun times laughing at each others expense. The community has lost a true gentleman!
