My condolences to the family of Len Durnin. Mr Durnin was the best boss ever! He was my boss when I worked at the Dominion Store in Aylmer. I was there when the store first opened and worked there for about 12 years. First as a part-time worker when I lived in Aylmer. When I moved to Corinth and they were short-staffed at the store, he or his wife Mary would drive out to bring me in to work because my husband left earlier with our vehicle. When I was widowed back in 1972 with four kids to raise, I went on full-time and he told me that Saturdays would be my day off because my kids needed me. His reason was that his mother had been a mom working and raising kids by herself so he knew that it was important for a mom to be home with her family as much as possible. Len and Mary were great prople!

Worked for Len in the late 60S and 70's working at Dominion Stores in Aylmer. Was my first part time job and also my first full time job.Cleaned the floors weekly for 10 years.He taught me many things.... taught us how to work..... Many good memories. Dave Beckett New Brunswick
