I have just learned about Robbie's passing now, and am devastated. As his teacher and track and field coach, we spent a lot of time together. And it was always fun. He excelled as a runner and I was a bit crushed when he suddenly wanted to be a high jumper/long jumper. But he got to OFSAA for that too, and I was there with him. Rest in peace my student-athlete friend.

I am so sad since hearing of Robbie’s passing. I will always remember the smiles he put on my family’s faces with his kindness, humour, and creativity. I am sure Robbie touched many lives and will be forever missed by those of us who were fortunate enough to have shared a little piece of his journey. We will always remember Rob as an amazing high school track and field athlete. We took our girls all over Ontario for track and field and when Rob was there it was always great to watch him compete. I thought a lot of Rob, I know he struggled with things, I tried to help him, but I couldn't at the time. I always hoped he'd find a way to get himself some help and get better. Rob was a person who could always see the best in others and encouraged them to do their best. Knowing him throughout childhood, I recall that he was good at anything he put his mind to, and everyone liked him. His good deeds throughout the years will not be forgotten, and God is surely happy to have him enter His kingdom.
