Dear Ev and family,
So sorry to hear of Ted’s passing. Many fond memories, as a CO-OP supervisor, a colleague, and friend. He was a great supporter of the Community Band and Choir. He even enjoyed his saxophone lessons ( and I enjoyed teaching him!). Take care!

Keeping you in our thoughts and prayers. Ted was a generous and outgoing person who was always there to lend a helping hand. He was a great supporter of the Aylmer Area Community Choir and Band, volunteering his skills and time to build a podium for the conductor to utilize at the Old Town Hall performances. He will be greatly missed by many students, colleagues and friends.
Sincerely
Joanne & David Orton

Dear Evelyn: Very sorry to hear of Ted's passing. Our memories of you both are Christmas open houses at our home (before Covid) along with get togethers at the Agnew's. Ted was always in on the conversations. We saw you and Ted going for a walk around the block or he was always busy in his garden. Ken and I also enjoyed a lovely meal in your dining room a few years back. I am sure you will miss him greatly. Ken and Fran Abbott

Ted Luscher was one of life's good guys, a super friend who will be greatly missed by many people. I didn't have him as a teacher at East Elgin, but heard nothing but good things about him in that role. When I became a young colleague on the EESS staff, he was very supportive, especially with Evelyn, towards me and my wife Gail as my new bride after my first year of teaching. Several years later they proved exceedingly helpful to my late father, Andy, with Ted watching over him, even modifying things around the house to make it safer. Our hearts go out to Evelyn and the family. It won't be easy; Ted was truly a very special individual.

So very sorry for your loss. Ted was my teacher, customer and friend. He was a true gentelman. He would pick up my youngest son and take him to wood carving classes with him as Kyle was too young to drive. I think that act and ted's guidance lead him to take up the carpentry trade. Rest in Peace Sir

Dear Evelyn, Ross, Dave and family.
On behalf of all the 2nd floor nursing team at Maple Manor thank you for trusting us to care for Ted. Ted will be deeply missed by all of us his smile could light up a room, his eyes would open wide and he would just smile. He always kept us busy when he first moved in, he even took over sweeping the floors as he always needed to be busy doing something or looking at things and wanting to fix them.
He will be deeply missed and in Ted’s words “ It’s alright” he is up there watching down on us out there fishing or fixing things and he knows how much he was loved by all.

I had Mr. Luscher as my welding shop teacher in EESS in 1960. I still have the project I did in his class. I have used it regularly for over 60 years. I remember him as an excellent teacher with a very pleasant personality. One of the best teachers I had!
Condolences to his family.

My condolences to your family
Ted was a special person in my life, always kind, willing to listen and helpful.
1984 I was 6 years out of high school, a father of two and unemployed, coming out of Canadian Tire in Aylmer when I ran into Ted, we talked a little while when he asked if I was still interested in an apprenticeship, he has a guy interested in hiring one, of course I was, meet him at the high school in an hour. Ted called my future employer and recommended me to him.. and the rest is history 35+yrs as a Toolmaker. Ted made such a difference in my life, my family’s future and our quality of living. I tried to reconnect with him to say Thanks for all he had done but it wasn’t to be. Again please accept my condolences, I’m so sorry for your loss
He was, as I’m sure you know, a special person, the world needs my guys like Ted, you’re in my thoughts

Hi Ted was my teacher at EESS from 1969 to 1972 . Ted was a solid teacher,I don't remember any kids giving him a hard time,he new his stuff ,all those machines and they could,he taught me many things some like welding and drilling I still use at times today, I wasn't the smartest student but I loved that class and working with steel, I struggled at times to make projects but got them done . One day he told me I wish everyone tried as had as you do . Wonderful words of encouragement. Well I guess 50 yrs later I can say that statement held true not to stop trying. Sorry for your loss.
