So sorry to hear of the loss of your mom. I have heard many funny and wonderful stories from my mom, Patti Barrett. I spoke to your mom in September when I called to let her know my mom had passed away. Cherish your memories and find comfort in knowing your parents are together watching over you. My parents, your parents, Uncle Ted Johnson and many others are in heaven watching over us and having lots of fun together!

Kathy, Duncan, Jane and families. Mary Stickel, Don Sinclair and families:
I am sorry you have to experience this. Marg was the perfect match for Dunc for nearly 64 years and to me it almost seems fitting that she chose 64 days after he left her to leave to be with him. We all have memories of her. Here are three events we shared.
1. Centennial Year 1967, the lady is Marg. Centennial Year was welcomed in by shooting guns out of the Fick Family door.
2. Fort Lauderdale Florida and met up with Marg & Dunc, Ann Marie & Ron Christie
3. Liz Divine, Marg, Mike Kapogines (behind Marg), myself visiting with our hostess Faith Hueston at Ahmic Harbour 1972
4. Taking a rest before heading for White Church.
Farewell Marg.

Dear Kathy, Duncan, Jane and families,
Although Marg and I travelled in different circles for the most part in earlier years, I was blessed to be welcomed to join the ABC coffee group at Clarke's during my late husband's illness . (thank you, Nettie). I wasn't a regular, but when I did make it into town Marg was one of the first to welcome me and show a genuine interest in how I was making out and what my children and grandchildren were up to. She was, indeed a princess. I was honoured to be able to call Marg a friend. Too much time was lost during Covid but we still managed to bundle up in coats and visit over our take-out coffees on Patsy's front porch (at suitable distances, of course). I will always treasure those moments.
Marg and Dunc were a unit and are now united again, for eternity. This is such a huge loss for all of you and for their friends and the greater community as well but I take great solace in the knowledge that they are once again together.
Our very deepest condolences,
Kathleen Schaper and Don Weir

Dear Kathy, Jane, Duncan, Jeff, Dana, and children Ben, Meaghan, and Coll
Way back when I was a young kid at the cottage beautiful Marg appeared out on the front lawn in the sun with her gorgeous long legs stretched out to tan, and her hair smelling of either beer or raw eggs. I was smitten. Marg's beautiful laugh, smile and whole being were a gift. Uncle Dunc as the awesome wild skiier along with his buddy Larry Donald would whizz super close to the dock to surprise & spray their lovely girlfriends.
I called Aunt Marg my princess and was thrilled that she let me follow right behind her in her wedding. Over the years all those yummy little crustless sandwiches she made further cemented her status as royalty in my books. The sister-in-laws shared Aunt Betty's incredibly rich gooey lasagna which were just part of the special gatherings which furthered our family ties together.
It was moving to see our parents not only laugh their heads off together with Dunc and Marg, but also be deeply comforted by their presence, hugs words and support in difficult times, even over long distances. We have enjoyed and learned from their love, example of being caring citizens in a hurting world and also awe struck appreciators of its stunning beauty.
I am truly grateful for the lives of Marg and Dunc in being dear friends and loving relatives to our parents and ourselves. They have been 'more than enough.' We love you all.
We are with you. Love Shelley, Dan, Sarah ( Alexis, Luka), Helene (Nic)
