I was very sad to hear of Audrey’s passing. She had a lovely smile, that had just a little mischief behind it!
She was a support to many friends at Metcalfe Gardens, as well as to myself! Just a sweet lady who never complained!

Audrey was a friend to everyone and very active in our social programs at Metcalfe Gardens. She was a very talented poet, always knew the answers to name that tune and crosswords. She was a wonderful singer and storey teller. We were fortunate to enjoy her poems, she had blessed us a couple she wrote about Metcalfe Gardens and the staff. Rest in peace Audrey.

We had the pleasure of visiting with Audrey for a number of years at Metcalfe Gardens, as members of the St John Ambulance St Thomas Elgin Branch, Therapy Dog program. We thoroughly enjoyed our visits with her and her welcoming smile, and of course the beautiful plants! She certainly had a green thumb. We will miss and remember her always. With sincere sympathy, Myra & Sky, and Shayna

My deepest condolences to Audrey’s family and friends. I will always remember her cheerful smile and kindness. She was a happy homemaker. It was fun attending auctions where bids soared for her eldeberry pies…which my Mom loved.
Take comfort in all the delightful memories of your mother. She will be missed by all who knew her.

I feel blessed to have known Audrey my entire life! She and Stan were close friends of our family. I have many fond memories as a child, but over the past few years, I have enjoyed many visits with Audrey, as she enjoyed reading her poems, singing familiar songs and sharing her faith with me. I shall miss her warm smile, her laughter and her love.

Audrey and Stan were some of the most kind and loving people I ever knew as a neighbour. Audrey was one of the few remaining that led in life with compassion, love, understanding, one of the last of a bygone era. The Borm family was blessed with Audrey as a neighbor and a friend. We shall forever miss the grace that she brought to this earth and to our world. May you rest in peace.
With love,
Etienne Borm and the entire Borm family.

Audrey used to call my mother (Mary) her second daughter. They did many things together and were best friends for many years. They leaned on each other during troubling times. Audrey taught my mother many things which included how to make her elderberry pie. Luckily for me I got to be there too. Watching Audrey make pies and teaching us her tips and tricks was like learning a magicians secrets. I felt privileged to have learned from her. Audrey was a very special person to our family and she will be missed.
