Obituary of Steph Hannah

Hannah, Stephanie passed away peacefully at Terrace Lodge on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 in her 68th year surrounded by her family. Dear mother to Erin Hannah(Sean Miller), Brooke Heath(Mike), and loving step-mom to Lisa Volekaert(late Michael Alexander) and Melissa Lander(Rob). Devoted and caring sister to Maureen Stover(Rick). Beloved life partner and best friend of the late John Volekaert. Predeceased by her mother Norma Good and her brother Jamie Turner. Steph was a courageous and strong woman who touched the lives of many. A loving and supportive mother, the best Nana to her beautiful grandchildren (Blake, Joshua, Everly and Sadie). A kind and loyal friend, and a second mom to many of her daughters’ friends who could boot scootin’ boogie with the best of them. Throughout her life she was nothing short of extraordinary when it came to her work ethic and strength. Between her years surveying fields with the Sobrys, working at Imperial Tobacco, living her dream of working at her restaurant at the beach or managing restaurants, she never quit and never stopped working hard even when she was too sick or too tired to do it. She was an inspiration and a model of what everyone aspires to be. Her love of lemons gave her the zest for life, even through her most difficult times. She will be dearly missed by her friends and family, but we have peace knowing she suffers no more. Forever our mom, forever a sister, forever their Nana, forever a friend, forever your Stephie. A living celebration of life with Steph was enjoyed by many. A private family service will be held. Cremation-burial, Mount Pleasant Cemetery, London.
