Our Uncle John was a fixture at our Grandma and Grandpas house. We remember him smoking his pipe and enjoying the TV lively hockey games. His unique laugh plays in our minds as the memories are shared in discussions among our families. We thank our aunt Dorris for her contiguous care for John especially throughout the last year.

John was my baby brother. I remember the happy day that my mom and dad brought him home. Our lives were simple but full of the love of family. The memories are fond and bring me peace at this time of mourning. Goodbye Brother John.

John was a neighbour and friend of our family for many years
He was especially great to get the mail, take out garbage, shovel snow , etc for our mother
after our dad passed away. I will miss our 11 o’clock regular visits at the post office

John will be missed by so many! Our baseball games will not be the same without him watching and cheering us on, and the smell of his pipe to know he is there ;) our thoughts and prayers are with the families at this time.
Enjoy your heavenly journey Pipe, until we meet again my friend ❤️

"The Best things in Life are the people we meet along the way and the memories that make us smile, laugh and cry"
John or "Huck" as we've always known him fought a courageous battle with cancer. Never once complaining and still making jokes and smiling. He passed the way he wanted and that was being able to stay home. Thanks to Doris and the paramedics, nurses and especially PSW's Kyle and Melissa who made him comfortable and showed him compassion and caring. Huck will be missed and he's on his Heavenly journey!
