Obituary of Hugo Wenzel

Wenzel, Hugo of Port Stanley passed away on Saturday, September 7 in his 84th year. Dear father of Torsten Wenzel (Kathrin) and grandfather of Franziska Wenzel (Nico Mathys) and beloved great grandfather of Eddie Wenzel and Marc Wenzel (Renate Görlich).  Brother of Rose Gotzmeister (late George), Fred Siebenmorgen (late Susanna), and Otto Siebenmorgen (Alexandra). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wife Lore, son Henryk and many brothers and sisters.Born in Windhorst, Yugoslavia on December 3, 1940, Son of the late Gottfried and Johanna (Emunds)Siebenmorgen. Hugo was a Master cheesemaker in Germany before coming to Canada in the 1980s, where he continued his craft at Woolwich Dairy. He later worked at Talbotville Ford before retiring. Cremation has taken place. Hugo took great pride in his sailboat LadyHawk. He was also known for his baking talents, generously sharing cheesecake and Christmas cookies with family, friends, and the staff at his pharmacy, doctor's office, bank etc. Donations to St Thomas Elgin General hospital would be appreciated.
