I was sorry to read about the loss of Jean in the paper. I understand that my grandmother (Edna Leeson) and Jean were very close when they were growing up. About 13 years ago, my husband and I were invited to Dorothy and Jerry Van Patter's for dinner to show them our wedding pictures. Jean was also invited over for dinner that night. I was pleased to meet her (again?). I had likely met her as a child but did not remember. I was struck by the fact that she seemed so similar to my own grandmother. I have very fond memories of that dinner and of hearing some of the stories of when Jean and Edna were younger. Please accept my condolenscences on the loss of your mother.
