Obituary of Rachael Van Acker

Van Acker, peacefully at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Monday, July 7, 2008. Rachel Octavia Van Acker of Aylmer in her 89th year. Beloved wife of Rene Van Acker. Dear mother of Vera Cathers and husband Fred of Toronto and Larry Van Acker and wife Marilyn of R.R.#5, Aylmer. Loving grandmother of Carrie Kenny and husband Tyson, Chris Cathers and wife Kim, Sandra Calhoun and husband Trevor, Ryan Van Acker and fiancee Jackie Crosby and great-grandmother of Grayson, Rachel, Emma, Noah and Jaxon. Also survived by a sister Adrianna and a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by six brothers and one sister. Born in Oostaker Belgium on May 5, 1920. Rachel was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows R.C.Church and the Catholic Women's League. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Tuesday 7-9 & Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where prayers will be held on Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Sorrows R.C. Church on Thursday, July 10, 2008 at 11:00 am. Interment, Queen of Peace Cemetery. Father Joseph Nevett, officiating.
