I did not have the privilege of knowing Pat too long. I do remember sharing breakfast with him last summer at the Pioneer Sales Launch. He was very generous sharing his experiences to a younger Pioneer Rep. He told me about his family, which he was very proud of. He also told me about the ins & outs of the seed business. I was sad to hear from my father the news about Pat. I remember as a teenager working on your farm for a summer, side by side with Pat every day. Everyday was a stimulating conversation about any range of topics. We worked hard, solve many of the worlds problems, and accomplished a lot. I remember those days fondly. I also enjoyed running into Pat during one of my visits back in Aylmer and catching up on things, and always discussing insurance. He was a great man, father and husband. Rica, Erin, Emily and Patrick Jr. No words I have can reflect your loss of Pat. As Rica knows, your Dad was a good friend to me when I came to work at OMAF in Elgin county. That was a lifetime ago, 35 years. I can remember Pat coming into my office to chat about taking on the Pioneer agency. I was honoured that he felt it important enough to talk to me about it.
