Mary-I miss you and think of you alyaws. I will alyaws remember the friend, who taught me to tie my shoes in kindergarten, made me laugh over the years, loved and supported me; but most importantly stood by me during the most difficult times of my life. I will never forget our adventures or more importantly the times we would just sit in the apartment in Philly and talk sh*t and crack up. I love you* Toolie

Mary,What a heart break I spoke to Cori of you tonight and mmroey drove me back to search for you again. To find you gone breaks my heart, the world never deserved a mad fairy like you. i hope when you got to heaven they had a marqee streatched all the way across the sky. I never got to say goodbye. So Sad! please know that I would give anything to see you smile again. I really did love you, it all makes me wonder the way things might have been different if we had had a chance. I am so sorry to your Mom and Dad, I know they loved you dearly. I don't have the heart to tell Sage, know that she thought you were the bee's knees. you will be missed and not forgotten. My Heart Forever Aaron

over the years. For starters, I was not in love with Jungle Jimmy, the guy on Nickelodeon that sold the duck bileld platypus cards. I remember on your 18th birthday when I filled your apartment with balloons, and bought you a cake, and you came home angry and asked me to leave. I was crushed. Because I worshipped you. Every step you took I wanted to follow in. Every breath you took I wanted to take it all in too. You had so much to offer this world. But unfortunately most people didn't get to see just how much life you had left in you, how much you were capable of. And Mar, you were capable of taking over the world. I used to be embarrassed. We'd go out to eat and you'd wear a tutu and running shoes. What I wouldn't give to have one last trip to the coffee shop with you in your tutu. I'd even wear one too. Your niece asks about you and misses you dearly. Who doesn't? Except maybe that guy on Union Street that you used to flip off for looking at your cute little legs. XOXO Your adoring sister Denise

I have many fond memories of Mr. and Mrs. Phoenix. Stu worked with my Dad. A couple of times a year, Dad would bring Stu home for supper. I remember a bad snow storm. The Phoenix's road was snowed in. Stu couldn't get into town. Dad and I drove out #3 to pick up him up at the end of their road.
But mostly I remember visiting their home, or "Phoenix Pharm" as Dad called it. For several years in the mid-1970s, I spent my spring break helping (?) Stu collect sap and boil it into syrup. At noon, Jean always had a hearty lunch waiting for us. Desert was ice cream; smothered in syrup of course. A month later I'd return to "help" prepare their garden. I spent many hours slowly going over and over that acre or two on Stu's old McCormick FarmAll (Super C?) tractor. First plowing, then discing and ultimately harrowing. I was more interested in the mechanics of the tractor and controlling it than gardening, but in addition to learning how to drive a standard, I learned more than a little about farming.
Despite not remembering much about last week, I still vividly remember one particular trip to the Phoenix's home. After school, I walked over to the high school where I met Stu. We got into his Mercury Maverick. Before getting to the Pharm, he stopped at the variety store at #3 and Hacienda Rd. for a quart of buttermilk. My facial expression must have conveyed disgust that anyone would drink that because after taking a big swig then smacking his buttermilk soaked lips with great satisfaction, Stu laughed more genuinely than any shopping-mall Santa when I declined his offer to have some.
Jean & Stu: Thank-you for being such an important part of my growing up. Over 35 years later, I still think of you both often. You were also some of my parent's favourite friends.

Mrs. Phoenix was a wonderful person to be around growing up in Aylmer. Skip and I were best buddies in High School doing all the sports there together. I would go over to Mr.and Mrs. Phoenix's house to hang with Skip and she would always greet me with a smile and a 'how are you today'. Over the the years Skip and I have grown apart due to jobs and other things but I remember going back to Aylmer, seeing her at Church or on the street and again with the same smile and 'how are you'. Skip, you'll miss your Mom but God put her on this earth for 92 wonderful years to touch the lives of so many. She's sitting at His right hand as I write. I'm thinking about you all today and saying a prayer for you and your family.

We have fond memories of your Mom, both from our youth as neighbours, but also as adults. Our Moms shared a special friendship that lasted throughout many years. They enjoyed many telephone conversations over the years and Jean was always there to pay our Mom, Edna, a special visit - as our Mom didn't drive. She was always there for Mom - visits at the farm, at the apartment, at the Retirement Home and we are most appreciative of the bond they shared. They were two of a kind! and will both be missed! Our sympathy to all of you Faye, Skip and Leigh and your families. Marv, Joyce, Jean, John, Susanne, Roy, Myrna, Brenda

Condolences to Jean's family and Mary Lou Phoenix Sheller, my church friend. I would be there in person to extend my condolences but my daughter was hospitalized. I always enjoyed sitting with Jean when she came to our church, Mary Lou. I know she was a good friend to my sister-in-law, Edna Willsey.

Sorry to hear of Jean's death. Mom went to MacDonald Institute with her and shared great times and pictures to go along. Mom is in a nursing home in London and wanted you to know she was thinking of Jean. I remember your dad very well in chemistry class. His great lesson to me was to remember that I was but a tiny fly and all the boys around were spiders! Unfortunately that is all I remember about chemistry. Jo-Anne Harris

Both your Dad, Stu and mother , Jean , sang in my first choir I directed at Aylmer Baptist. Jean always had good advice about good anthems for me to choose!!. I also remember her singing with her sister. So sorry for your loss but she will be singing with Stu again in that heavenly choir! Blessings
