Just over a year working with Eddie at AEMMC. I remember his warmth and wisdom and humor, and his deep submission to Jesus. What a loss. Much love to his family.

It was with sadness that I read of Eddy's passing. My memory of him is mainly as a 6th grader at Summer Corner's - I believe we were in Mr. Bond's class together. I remember a young boy who was always kind, had a wide smile, and always put his best effort forth. I don't remember any shared classes as we continued to high school, but he was always such a kind person. My condolences to his loved ones and friends.

Eddy was my good friend while attending East Elgin Secondary School and we often sat together on the bus. I also had the privilege of going to Steinbach Bible College with him. My brother David shared a house with Eddy and a number of other men while working in Ottawa. Both of us were deeply saddened to learn of his sudden passing. Our condolences to his family.

Eddy was a very dear friend who will always remain in my heart. We met in September of 2016 and remained best of friends till he went home to be with the Lord. We prayed together often, We got together at least once a week to pray, read scripture and worship, also coffee times. We went to promise keepers together, biked together among many other things. My family and his family got together many times to share a meal and play games. Eddy and myself helped each other through many rough times. We Love you dear friend and brother in Christ. We will help your family through the hard times. Rest in Peace.

I have many positive memories of hanging out with Eddy during our youth and university years.
During university, he helped me study for a statistics test, which was a challenging class for me. He was patient in explaining things, and with his help, I ended up doing well in that class. I was very thankful for his kindness and expertise.
Eddy would also entertain us with his tree planting stories and biking adventures.
Lots of games were played and many good times at Mr. & Mrs. Remple's house.
My sincerest condolences to the entire Rempel family.

I remember the time when I was doing yard work for Eddy that even though he was in so much pain he would still come and help me if he saw I was having a hard time. We can all remember that even though he was in so much pain, he would still come and help me if he saw that I needed it. We can all remember. Eddy as a kind and thoughtful and helpful person. And even though he is gone now, he will still live forever in our hearts.

Pauline and girls, Mr & Mrs Rempel, John, Krista, Caroline, Kevin Dave, Liz, Dan Maria, James Elfreda, Yolanda Henry and Ron I can't imagine the pain that you are going thru at this time, and for a while now actually. Eddy was always very generous, loved to laugh, and of course have great serious debates on any subject. His dedication and love to God and his family was very evident in every thing he did and said. Even though I think he was really competitive in his sports, I often remember he would encourage all of us youth, young or old to play along with him, whether we were good or not, never wanted to leave any one out. I specifically remember a football game where many of the guys wanted to really play but there were lots of small kids who wanted to play, so of course Eddy included them in the game helping them get the ball, throw, and tackle. If you every needed a ride, he was aways ready to give you a lift. He loved people and it showed in everything he did. He was incredibly intelligent, and yet he never made the less intelligent feel anything but worthy of conversation. I will every be grateful to have had the opportunity to get to know him along with the rest of you so many years ago. There will be a huge hole in your hearts, but may you find comfort in God and you will get through this, knowing that Eddy is in the presence of our loving Father, healed and free from pain and we will see him again!! Henry and I will keep you all in our prayers in the coming days.
Love, Bev and Henry Thiessen

I vividly remember Eddy from the time I got to know him through the CREST Leadership Program, a leadership program for people at midlife. He engaged the course well, had excellent comments and input to the class. I remember him also being very disciplined with his exercise, more than any of his peers in the group. He was well respected by everyone in his class.
I was surprised and saddened to hear of his passing, and will pray for his family who I am sure are deeply missing him.
Dr. Dan Reinhadt,

I got to know Eddy at SBC in 1988-89. We were roommates in the dorm and became good friends very quickly. Later that summer, we both went treeplanting in B.C. Eddy was an honest, genuine person. We had a lot of laughs together and also some deep conversations. Although we didn't keep in touch much over the years, I thought about him often. He will be missed and Heaven has gained a great person. Rest in peace, roomie.
