Our most sincere condolences to the entire Buis family.
Know you are all in our thoughts and prayers at this most difficult time.
Losing someone so close is so very difficult, and we know there are no works to ease the pain. In time we hope each day will be a little easier that the previous one. May the memories that presently bring tears, bring smiles in the time to come.
Sincerely,
The Dawson family

We are sadden your loss of Jim. We watched Jim grow from a boy to a man and a husband to a father. Jim was steady, calm, loyal and a rock to all that knew him. A man of few words until you saw that slow smile light his face then you knew the jig was up. Fondly remembered by the Smale’s. Rest in peace. Don, Lyn, Brad, Jeff and families

I would like to take this time to thank Jim and Brenda for hosting so many family events throughout the years. It truly was comical watching those 2 in action. Brenda yelling with her finger pointed and Jim famously saying “yes dear” and with a grin moving off in that direction. Such patience this man had. Together they have raised 4 amazing children who have blessed them with the pile of grandchildren - what a legacy. His absence will be felt by many most especially his family but as we know there cannot be sadness without the love first - and he was a well loved man. Rest in peace Jim.

It is sad to lose a brother-in-law that was funny and generous. Too my niece and nephews and all of the grandchildren I offer my condolences. Jim was a great father, husband and grandfather. I will miss his very dry sense of humour. Now he can join other members of his family in the after life. Condolences.

The boys from the many fishing trips will forever remember “Bubba” and he will be greatly missed.
We all have so many good memories of Bubba and most especially, his favourite Senko - the Mardis Gras. Those were his favorite lures to use and he would search for them incessantly. Bubba could sit on the boat and quietly teach a fishing lesson or receive a fishing lesson from his buds - always with a nice smirk on his face! Jim will be remembered as the best companion when the fishing slowed and the stories were told.
When fishing was done for the day, Jim also had an uncanny knack for sitting at the card table and grimacing when the cards were not favoring him, and was also equally as quiet while reaching into the centre of the table to claim his “loot”. Jim will be forever missed on our future fishing trips and will always be remembered as a wonderful and trustworthy friend.
Til me meet again Bubba….
