Mike and family: Condolences on the passing of Wanda. She was indeed an ambassador for Aylmer. And a friendly face uptown to many. I knew her originally from working at the Express for several high school summers - Wes Davis, Mrs. Mangleson and Wanda occupied the front desks. She had an infectious laughter then and it carried with her throughout her life. Kirk, Bonnie Barons

Wanda was one of the first people to welcome me to Aylmer. I miss her laughter (which always came easily) when she was ribbing me from behind her desk at The Express. Cherish those great memories, Mike and all.

My deepest sympathy to Wanda's family. Wanda was a wonderful and special friend to my mom (Jeanette Walters). She visited my folks often and sent flowers to mom on a regular basis during the past several years. Mom passed away in May and Wanda made sure she got out of the hospital in time to attend the funeral. What a testament to Wanda's strength, commitment and compassion for others. I know my folks were waiting to welcome Wanda to her eternal home full of comfort and joy. Her friendship lives on in many. RIP dear Wanda.

Mike, Karen, Kelly, Peter and families. My deepest condolences on your loss of ‘our dear Wanda’! She was a cherished founding member of the Aylmer Ladies Breakfast Club. We started with 8 and there are 4 ‘originals’ left as well as three we added along the way.
We will miss her broad smile, wit and opinions as well as the prices of gas in St Thomas and Aylmer!
I am sorry I can’t be in Aylmer as I am in Nova Scotia. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Mike and family,
Don and I wish to extend our deepest condolences to you on the loss of your wonderful Wanda.
For myself, I will really miss her morning greetings and her goodnight prayers. Over the past four years when coffee breaks were curtailed due to outside influences Wanda has always been there with her wisdoms and wisecracks, (thanks to Facebook). She was an irreplaceable, irrepressible, life-affirming person and a joy to know.
Wanda and I collaborated for a quarter century to produce the advertising for St. John's Lutheran Church. She was a consummate professional and a joy to work with. She was an invaluable asset to the Aylmer Express, her long-time employer. The Town of Aylmer is emptier without "The Mayor" keeping an eye on things. Fly with the wings of angels, Wanda.

Wanda was a first cousin on what I call the greek side of my family.
I remember spending summers in Alymer with Aunt Stella, Michael and Wanda.
It sad that it takes Wanda's passing to make me appreciate the good childhood I had.
My heartfelt condolences to Michael and family.

“Aunt Wanda” was a staple character through most of my life, as I became best friends with her great-niece Megan at a young age.
Wanda loved her family and was often coming around for a visit when I was at Megan’s house.
I will always remember her saying things like “you again?” or “what are you girls up to?”
Most recently, I enjoyed her comical Facebook posts. They always put a smile on my face.
Aunt Wanda will be greatly missed, and I am sending love to the extended family.

What will Aylmer be without the presence of Wanda Kapogines?! Wanda was an Aylmer fixture and good will ambassador! She lived and breathed Aylmer and was always aware of the community goings on, in the best way! I will miss seeing her on the streets and the happy chats we used to have with always a smile. She will be missed!
Sincere condolences to her family and friends.

I had the pleasure of volunteering with Wanda as a member of the Aylmer Wetland Susies. What an absolute treasure she was to all – her positive spirit made all feel welcome. I will miss her laugh and humour when we would meet on the street or any function. Sadly, we will miss her posts of FB where appreciation of beauty (visual and in word), as well as humour and encouragement became a daily anticipation. May we all find the Wanda in ourselves and carry it forward.

My deepest condolence to the Kapogines family. I remember Wanda best as a teacher. When I was emplyed as a summer journalist at the Aylmer Express not only did the Hueston family taught me reporting but Wanda showed me how to do advertising for the paper which am greatful for. Wanda was loved by many and will be miss by many. THANKYOU Wanda, God Bless
